The first step of implementation should inform management about the employee voice. It should be clarified what it is, why it is crucial for any business and how it will be executed.

Secondly, the current work outlook and environment should be examined. Management should make sure everybody is committed to the change because not being committed enough could negatively influence the process of implementation.

Here are some aspects which make the enforcement of employee voice successful:

  • Leadership style which promotes openness, communication with employees and is approachable to the staff

  • Company which enables opportunities and training for employees and encourages both

  • Organisation which is trustworthy

After second step is completed, it is time for planning. The organisation should:

  • Establish a strategy direction

  • Create a team with set roles and responsibilities

  • Forecast any risks and barriers

In this step the company should initiate the realisation. However, before starting to implementing the plan management should:

​

  • Inform employees about employee voice and about its advantages for them

  • Analyse creative channel for employee voice

  • Design processes and mechanisms

  • Instruct all employees who are responsible for employee voice in any way

  • Build employee forum with senior manager in charge and select representatives

An organisation should start to realise the plan which was set ,moreover, they should implement mechanisms and processes designed in step four. The management could consider employees' thoughts and their personal opinions on the implementation. When the plan is carried out the management should ask for feedback, analyse it and measure the success.

In the last step the success of the implementation should be reviewed. If there are any elements which are not working they should be corrected as soon as possible. Nonetheless, the employee voice should be reviewed regularly to make sure it is still aligned with organisation's strategy.

  • Value different perceptions and opinions

  • Create a feedback culture and encourage employee feedback

  • Promote using technology

  • Evaluate and reward employee ideas

  • Share business information to create transparency
